• 1 cup glutinous rice

• 1/2 cups water

• 1/2 cup sugar

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 cup coconut milk

• 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced 


1. Wash the glutinous rice in cold water until the water runs clear.

2. Bring water, sugar, and salt to a boil in a small saucepan. After stirring, add coconut milk and glutinous rice. A low flame should be used to cover the vessel. 

3. Cook the rice for 18 to 20 minutes or till it is tender and all the liquid has been absorbed. Switch off the flame and let it cool for ten to fifteen minutes.

Serve the rice in bowls and top with sliced ​​mangoes.
